1. What service(s) are you looking for?

2. How many dolls?

3. What size dolls?
4. If it's a faceup, will you need a) a previous faceup removed and/or b) eyelashes applied?
5. Where are you located? (for shipping calculations)

I will then reply to you to confirm your slot.

A little update!

Sorry I've been lagging with updating the "current slots" list! I've been focusing on painting since I have to play catch-up, so I've been behind on computer stuff. But I updated it today. ^_^ I really want to have everyone's January dolls done by the end of the week.

Even when your commission is finished (your status changes to "F"), please be patient for a few more days after that before you receive pictures - I usually wait until I have a batch of several finished heads, and then set aside a day where I take and edit photos.

Also, I replaced the broken flickr gadget with a flickr badge, so all is well there. ^^ It makes me happy, I really like that feature. ♥ Will also be uploading new pictures to flickr very soon.

Dates for March and April commissions

Hey all!

As a heads-up: I will open March commissions on February 14th (happy Valentine's Day everyone! ^^), and April slots will open March 15th.

The reason I'm opening March a day early is because I'll be out of town Fri-Sun that weekend (double birthday party whoo! ^^), so I want to make sure I have a few days to answer emails before I'm afk.

Hey all! ^_^ My original artist sculpt Elf Raven is available again for sale! There is a limited quantity of heads available at my online shop. There are 10 heads in Oriental Skin (yellow-based Normal Skin), and 10 heads in Pale Skin (white skin). The heads are professionally cast by DollShe.

Custom faceups are also available with purchase.

Once I have everyone's details, I will do some time-crunching, and if I feel like it might take a week or so longer than normal, I will post an estimated completion date when I post the list on the "current slots" page. I'd rather tell you guys beforehand that it might take longer, rather than disppoint you if it does! But it shouldn't be more than an extra week. ^_^

A small request~

Hey everyone,

In light of some recent communications I've had, I'd like to set a few rules here that should be obvious:

1. Please be courteous. I do my best to be friendly and professional in all my communications, and I expect the same in return. There is such a thing as email etiquette, such as using greetings and signatures, not using caps, and refraining from using more than one questionmark. You might think that's not a big deal, but it is to me!

2. Please be patient. Read the rules and F.A.Q. - you will find information on absolutely everything, from my turnaround times to how I handle correspondence. I have stellar feedback, and have never taken an undue amount of time for anyone's commission in 5 years. If there is a problem with your commission, I will let you know immediately. If everything's going smoothly, then your doll will be done and you will receive pictures within the times stated in the F.A.Q.

3. Please don't be negative. I don't need to know about your bad experiences with other faceup artists, or how much you dislike DoA. I am here to do my best to paint your doll, and hearing your negativity will make me uneasy and won't help the process at all.

So yeah - please be friendly, positive, and patient! I will always do the same. Thank you very much! ^__^

State of the Toast! ^~

I figured it's time to let you all know what's gonna be going on with AT in the near future. ^_^

1. AngelToast BJDs!
I will be reopening the shop in January, and the first sculpt to be available again will be Elf Raven - professionally cast by DollShe in NS and WS. I have 10 of each. I've decided to wait until January because a) I need to apply magnets to all of them, and b) I need to paint one or two of them and make a date with my brilliant photographer Perception Crisis so we can get some nice new shots of the elf boy. We were supposed to reopen a lot sooner, but the casting took a good bit longer than expected... so what's a few more weeks, right? ^~

As for Hawk and Human Raven, I will definitely sell both of them again in the future! Both are undergoing a bit of an overhaul - I am improving the eyes mostly, so they will be better than ever! ^_~ Though I will probably fix up some older casts of them as well to sell as one-offs.

If you would really like a Hawk or Human Raven of the "old garde" before I have the new ones cast (which likely won't be until spring/summer), feel free to let me know and I will look through my casts to see what colors I have that are fit for sale.

2. New Projects!
In 2012, I will be working hard on my first SD-sized body. It will be a 55-56cm mature boy body - for the simple reason that I need one! Haha. Really, I have never been able to find a short adult male body to my liking, so I will work hard to make one! Wish me luck? ^^; I have started by sculpting the hands... a small start, but it's a start!

Also, I will finish my little MSD head, I swear. ^^; She/he has taken a back seat to everything else lately, but I will get back to her/him!

3. Commissions
I will continue to do commissions every month in 2012 as before. It's the best job I could wish for, and even when it gets stressful I am always so happy and grateful that I'm able to do what I love. Thank you all so much for your support! ^_^

4. Conventions
Since I have a big vacation coming up in the summer, I'll probably only be doing one anime convention in 2012, which is Animazement in Raleigh, NC. I have done the BJD-411 panel there for the past several years, and if the con doesn't mind us returning, I'll do it at AZ 2012 as well. This year, I also did a panel on how to make a BJD head - I'm not sure if I will do that one again, but if there is a lot of interest, I might. Feel free to let me know if you're planning to be there and would like to see it!

5. Other stuff!

Once the new heads go up for sale, we will be breaking in our brand-new web store. It's just waiting in the wings for my birds to come in... *dodges pun hammer*. :) The shop looks a lot like my portfolio, so a little different from what you normally see. I like it a lot, I hope you will too. ^^

Also, I will be starting a newsletter in 2012. The plan is to send it out once a month to keep ya'll updated on what's happening in the Rookery! If you are currently on the AT mailing list, I will include your name (you can always ask to be removed of course), and if you are new and would like to be added, please reply/email/PM me. ^_^

My amazing friend and wifu nohbahdee is as of this month helping me out with websites and photos and such, so we should be much more quickly up to date on the portfolio and with commission lists. Welcome to The Nest, nohbahdee! ♥

Lastly, I will hopefully manage to get this work-in-progress sculpting blog up and running that I've started and then woefully neglected.

Hey all!

1. December slots will open on Tuesday, November 15th. Please PM or email me then if you are interested in a December slot. ^_^

2. This season, it seems that it takes everything short of human sacrifice to get a faceup on tan resin done. >__< The weather has been interfering with the MSC, and every single tan head I've painted recently I've had to do at least twice. I won't charge extra for the redo since it's nobody's fault, but I am making it official that I will need up to 6-8 weeks to do a faceup on a tan head, so please be prepared for a longer wait if you are sending me a tan or realskin doll.

3. And as a reminder: PAYMENT IS DUE BY THE 25TH OF THE MONTH YOU CONTACTED ME. In other words, if you contact me on November 15th for a December slot, payment is due by November 25th. This is how I pay my bills and keep things running smoothly! Please do not ask if it's okay to send payment by the 30th/5th/etc. I am really sorry, but I have said "okay" one too many times and found myself in a financial bind. If you do not have the money in hand, it's probably a better idea to wait for the next month. Thanks so much for understanding! ^^

Hey everyone,

So, I find myself itching to try out some new techniques and materials and looks, but I don't want to use your precious characters as guinea pigs! And my own dolls might not like what I want to do either... *lol*

So, I propose this! Whoever has a head sitting around that they have no particular plans for, I will paint it for free! I will accept one free head for now.

The rules are as follows:

SD head only please (for this round).
No MNMs please for this round, as I believe their level of realism wouldn't work well for what I would like to do.
The key: You let me do whatever I want! (I promise it won't be ugly).
You don't mind if it takes me 8 weeks instead of 4.
You are still responsible for shipping both ways.
